What I mean by superficial sources of joy is those kind of ephemeral flashes of pleasure, which often creates a cycle of chasing and addiction to that dopamine release.

These are not the whole and lasting forms of sustained joy, of real joy, which often requires the integration of light and shadow.

Real joy is a transcendent state which allows you to embody your true essence for it anchors the awareness that everything happening is part of a holy and whole constellation of unity.

Joy is not attached to feeling good. Joy does not look like just one thing. It transcends such limits.

Joy is Divine presence. Joy is a state that holds us in grief and in happiness. 🕊️

With this, steadfastness arises naturally in connection to our soul self.
